How Does a Credit Union Start a TikTok Channel?
Inspired by our own hours spent at the whiteboard ideating on how we will create content that resonates with our audience, is authentic, and not cringy... This fun, Superbowl-styled commercial aired during the Cat/ Griz game in 2022 to nearly 1 million viewers and continued to play for 2 months on OTT and NCAA

Intrepid Credit Union - Video Marketing Strategy
The hype for video content is at an all time high. Consumers are digesting more video content than ever before with apps like TikTok seeing more engagement than any other social media platform. Intrepid’s target audience is 35-55 years old, however I recognized the need to nurture a younger audience into our lifecycle marketing to keep them engaged with our brand and establish ourselves as a trusted partner for them at every stage of their life. This meant also engaging with 12-22 year olds on apps like TikTok as well as having a very strong video presence on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and OTT ads on streaming services.
I chose to utilize local influencers within Intrepid’s target and nurturing audience age groups to create more authentic video content reflective of Intrepid’s brand.
I manage the scope of these projects, write the scripts, and direct our cinematographer/editor on the vision and shot list if needed.

Make Giving Part of Your New Year
For this commercial we shared the story of longtime employee, Jackie Clark and her 20 years of volunteering for the local animal shelter. We partnered with West Paw, a dog toy manufacturer based in Bozeman, who provided 50 toys to the shelter in celebration of Jackie’s accomplishment This was a wonderful commercial for the holiday season. It showcased Intrepid’s commitment to giving back in the new year, our culture, and shared the local shelter’s story along with our employee’s.

Business Lending & Accounts
Kevin Danz is a longtime business account member at Intrepid Credit Union. We were thrilled to share his story and shine a light on his business. This commercial aired at the 2023 Cat/ Griz game and the community immediately started sharing pictures of their tv’s on social media and tagging Kevin.

Live Fearlessly, Live Life Wide Open
Konnor Ralph is on the U.S. Ski Team and is a member at Intrepid Credit Union. We chose to make this video look homemade to create a stronger sense of authenticity. Konnor filmed most of it himself or had a friend capture his jumping shots. The results look organic which works well for a younger demographic.

This series highlights Intrepid’s brand identity by showcasing trails within our local area and the needed supplies to make the most of your trip. Innovative By Nature Series
Innovative by Nature was a campaign that encompassed the incredible business climate, outdoor recreation, and employment opportunities in Montana by highlighting our tech-based businesses, manufacturers, and small brick and mortars. The campaign was a resounding success, used in trade shows to this day and this series was a wonderful way to share those unique stories and showcase Montana’s one-of-a-kind landscapes.
