Tribal Flag Plaza is Unveiled at the Montana Capitol
The $644,000 permanent plaza was approved with strong bipartisan support from the 2019 Montana State Legislature with the passage of House Bill 524, by Rep. Marvin Weatherwax, D-Browning.
The design was a collaboration between the governor's office, the Department of Administration, and Stahly Engineering of Helena. I managed communications with our tribal leaders and worked with each tribe to design a plaque to be placed under their respective flag in their native language. I was also in charge of planning the big reveal event and coordinating with the media. Each tribal nation sent delegates to Helena to raise their flags ceremoniously for the first time while drummers played and tribal members sang. It was a magical moment.
As a thank you for our strong government-to-government relations and to commemorate this historic day, I commissioned a painting from a Blackfeet artist capturing the emotions of raising our tribal nation’s flags permanently at the state capitol. The Governor and Lt. Governor presented framed prints of the painting titled “Tribal Relations” to each tribal government leader. The original painting remained in the Capitol on display until the end of Gov. Bullock’s term.
Choose Montana
Montana is where ideas grow into opportunities. Our spectacular unspoiled nature and unparalleled access to public lands make for a one-of-a-kind backdrop to build and grow a business.
Choose Montana was developed under Governor Bullock in 2014 to promote the state of Montana and his Office of Economic Development. I was on the initial team for the adoption of this brand and created, then managed the social media accounts. The brand was transferred to Governor Gianforte in 2021 after Governor Bullock’s end of term and is still being used by the Montana Department of Commerce.
Innovative By Nature
Used as a campaign to showcase Montana’s business climate and work culture, the Innovative By Nature tradeshow design featured a large backdrop with a stunning Montana landscape and intentional vertical lines to appear as if it were a window. We used the hashtag #OfficeWithAView for a social media and user-generated content showcasing incredible office views across the state from various industry leaders.
This campaign and visuals were adopted by the Montana World Trade Center and this was their set-up at the Select U.S.A Summit.
I was the lead on this project and managed the creative direction.

Montana Office of Indian Affairs
After joining the office of Indian Affairs in 2018, I proposed creating a brand for OIA (they did not have one at the time) that united the mission of the office and our 8 Tribal Nations. I learned so much in this role about relationships, cultural preservation, generational trauma, and tribal
governance. Graphic Designer: Leah Hathaway
Montana Site Selector
This tool is used for commercial space to aid businesses looking to relocate or expand in Montana. During my time in Governor Bullock‘s office I worked on this initiative, partnering with the Montana Association of Realtors and regional EDA’s to ensure MLS data was current and automatically updated. The site is still in use today despite the change in administration.
