Innovate Montana Symposium
In 2019, after three years of successful Symposiums, we chose to refresh the branding to reflect the host city: Butte, Montana. Butte, once known as the richest hill on earth for copper mines, was the perfect inspiration for this patina green and copper colored accent. We chose a subtle watercolor effect as the main branding element with a prominent copper vein, in reference to the significance it played in our host city.

Incredible speakers take the stage at INNOVATE 2019
We welcomed many incredible speakers to the stage opting for a Pecha Kucha-styled format, which allowed for only 10 minute presentations from each speaker. We were joined by the CMO of MeatEater, VP and Founder of Seacast, and the top investors from Montana. Our keynote speakers included Deano Roberts with Slack, Padden Murphy with WeWork, and Fritz Lanam, CEO of ClassPass.
I am a strong connector and Innovate provided a wonderful opportunity for me to use that strength to connect startups with mentors, investors, and create buzz around their business. I chose 5 “Pop-up Preneurs” and curated special meetups and networking.
Montana Governor Pivots Innovate Montana Symposium to Online Business Success Platform
MONTANA – Governor Bullock today announced that the long-running Innovate Montana Symposium will this year pivot to an online video portal intended to help businesses with economic recovery during the COVID-19 pandemic. Keynotes included Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn and Toby O’Rourke, CEO of KOA. Full article
In 2020, we had to pivot from our original plans of hosting Innovate in Missoula due to the pandemic. At that time, we
had already confirmed Reid Hoffman, co-founder of Linkedin, Hasbro, Sphero, KOA, Google, and many other speakers we were excited to host in Montana. This pivot offered us the opportunity to still share the wealth of knowledge from inspiring humans from multiple industries.
The Innovation HUB was modeled after Masterclass which we decided was a more evergreen option than a virtual conference. We wanted this information to stand the test of time and be available to our audience whenever they need it.

Montana Ambassadors’ Revived Conference
The Montana Ambassadors’ are celebrating 50 years in 2024. When I was asked to join the board and revive the Helena chapter, I was also asked to elevate the Annual Convening.
My first step was to add a layer of professionalism to the annual meeting with specialized branding that fit the needs of the organization.
In 2022, we used the theme “The Ripple Effect” to share the impact happening across Montana. We hosted Yellowstone producers and Allison Whitmer, Montana Film Commissioner for a fireside chat on the economic ripple effect the series and break off series has had in our state. In 2023, we led with the theme of “The Future of Montana” hosting topics on AI, musicians, artists, and techies. The CEO of KOA, Toby O’Rourke shared what the future will look like for the iconic organization. Graphic designer: Leah Hathaway

Camp Intrepid - Intrepid Credit Union
Why go on a Parade of Homes tour in an ordinary bus when you can have a full branded experience! I wanted to make a high impact experience in line with an existing event (the Parade of Homes). Our audience was building industry professionals (real estate, construction, and lenders). We needed to show these people a good time and make some strong connections. Since this is a summer event, we felt going back to camp had all the nostalgia we needed plus WE could be the camp councilors! Attendees boarded the bus and were met with fans, tin cups, sticker, trail mix, song lists, and wooden
camp pins.
Actual Event. Nailed it!
